Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She then worked as an anchor and morning reporter for WCBD TV. Her reporting on the streets of Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases led to the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the incidents. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with its Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. O'Dell later worked at NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. Alongside her job as the lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and also to Dateline NBC. She's covered events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of shows that were pre-showarrivals for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. The other shows she has hosted include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
